Hi! Welcome to Online Corpus-based Dictionary of English for Tourism. This dictionary is developed from a project entitled ‘the development of corpus-based dictionary for the teaching and learning of English for tourism‘ funded by Politeknik Negeri Malang through Grant No. SP DIPA-042.01.2.401004/2019.

The primary objective of the project is to develop a method for creating a dictionary using corpus data collected from websites on tourism. As it focuses on the methodological aspect of dictionary development, the main outcome of the project is a tested/validated method (open the Methodology Section of this website). The dictionary is a secondary outcome of the project (open the Dictionary Section). While at the moment it contains limited words, it is designed to be a living dictionary. The word-database of the dictionary will continuously be updated.
